Coastglen Financial, a small-business funding service in Pensacola, FL, matches your request with funding partners, who review it and make their own decision. This page takes a request from first call to a partner's decision in four stages, lists what partners may review, and explains that the owner decides whether to accept.
Who does what
Coastglen Financial is a broker, not a lender. We listen to what the money is for, explain which of the six options fit, and send the request to funding partners who offer that kind of financing. The partner reviews the business, makes the credit decision and sets any rate, term and conditions. Accepting or not is up to you.
Stage 1: the bill, in your words
Call (850) 669-5365 or send the online request. The online request asks for your full name, phone, email and company name (optional), three required picks (time in business, an annual revenue range and the amount you are requesting) and a consent box. Bank statements and tax returns wait until a partner asks for them.
On the call we ask what the money will pay for, when you need it, and how your customers pay you. Those three answers narrow six options down to one or two.
Stage 2: we match the purpose to an option
Payroll before receivables clear points to working capital or a line of credit; a remodel points to a term loan; a lift or oven points to equipment financing. The comparison page shows all six side by side. We then choose partners that actually provide that option for a business like yours.
Stage 3: a partner studies the file and rules on it
This is where the common questions come in. They are worth answering honestly, because the partner sets its own standards and none of them are published as fixed thresholds.
What are the requirements for getting a business loan from a partner?
Partners generally look at time in business, revenue shown in bank deposits, existing debt, credit history and the purpose of the money. A newer business or a thinner credit file narrows the options; it does not always end the request.
What documents do I need for a business loan file?
- Recent business bank statements
- Photo identification for every owner
- Proof the business is active, such as entity records and a current local business tax receipt
- For larger amounts: tax returns, a profit and loss statement and a balance sheet
- For equipment or a purchase: the quote, invoice or agreement
The business tax receipt guide explains the local receipt piece for owners in Escambia County, FL.
How many months of bank statements for a business loan do partners request?
Partners may ask for three to six months, and some ask for twelve. Send complete statements, every page, straight from the bank.
What credit score do you need for a business loan, in practice?
No one score applies. Each partner weighs personal and business credit alongside revenue and time in business. Coastglen does not publish or promise a score cutoff, because none applies across partners.
What do lenders look for when applying for a business loan, in one line?
In one sentence: evidence that the business can carry the payment. Steady deposits, a clear purpose and a manageable amount of existing debt are the kind of evidence a partner can use.
How long does it take to get a business loan through a partner?
It varies by partner, product and how quickly documents arrive. Partners set their own review steps. We do not promise a timeline, because the partner controls the review.
What helps on your side: complete bank statements, a clear purpose, and answering partner questions promptly.
Stage 4: you read the offer and decide
Offers arrive from the partner in writing, never verbally only. Before you sign, check the amount you receive, the total you will pay back, the payment amount and rhythm, any charges taken out up front, what happens if you pay early, and whether a personal signature is required. If something is unclear, ask the partner to explain it in writing.
Every offer can be refused. If none of the options fit, we will say so. Common follow-up questions are on the FAQ page, and you can reach us through the contact page.
